Urban Forage, owned by Jennifer and Michael Williams, is a local business with big heart. We strive to build community and relationships. Working with local farmers and purveyors, we create quality dishes that inspire health and energize lives. We pride ourselves on offering service with genuine, positive care. Whether you are eating at our café in the Atrium, enjoying a heat and serve meal in the comfort of your own home or sampling a fantastic catering spread in your office, we promise to always craft with the freshest ingredients sourced or foraged from as close to home as possible. While we do that, we will also pack as much flavour and nutrition as possible into our delicious cuisine. You’re gonna love it!

Born and raised in Victoria, Michael graduated from the Camosun Culinary Arts program in 2002 and went on to train at some of the area’s finest establishments, including The Aerie Resort on the Malahat. After travelling through Europe, which included an eighteen month stint in Switzerland to hone his craft, as well as spending some time in Boston and New York working in two of the East coast’s top restaurants, Michael came home to re-establish his roots. For the last two decades he has been serving up savory dishes while catering to and teaching Victoria through cooking classes and as host of Chek TV’s Cookin’ on the Coast. Working together with local farmers and purveyors, Michael builds his cuisine with health and vitality in mind while keeping amazing flavour at the forefront!
